Provides the shortest route for high-speed and large-volume traffic exchange between Europe and Japan
In July 2008, NTT Com commenced operation of a new route that connects Europe and Japan
using an optical submarine cable between Russia and Japan, ahead of all other carriers.
NTT Com now provides a high-speed and large-volume IP communication service using a network that boasts
broad bandwidths of 309Gbps between the US and Japan, 264Gbps between Asia and Oceania, 47Gbps between
Europe and Japan, and 60Gbps between the US and Europe.

NTT Communications received the Best Wholesale Carrier Award in the Telecom Asia Awards 2008.* The judges highly appreciated the performance of NTT Com based on the fact that we had one of the best Global Tier 1 IP networks in the world; the network offers large-scale capacity boasting the maximum provision volume in Asia and a perfect redundancy configuration; the quality of services operated with a single AS was high; and active use is being made of the latest IPv6 and security technologies.
