IPv6 Service

About IPv6 Service

IPv6 (Internet Protocol Version 6) is a replacement for the current network layer IP protocol. The current IP protocol is version 4 now referred to as IPv4. IPv6 is short for IP version 6 and represents a significant change from the old IPv4 protocol.

NTT Communications operates the world's largest tier one IPv6 backbone, spanning Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. Our global backbone has been fully upgraded to run dual stack both IPv4 and IPv6.

NTT Communications IPv6 customers are fully supported by our highly experienced IPv6 engineers, which have been on the forefront of IPv6 development and implementation worldwide for almost ten years.

In addition, NTT Communications won the top prize in the category of Best New Service for its provision of IPv6 / IPv4 Dual Service at World Communication Awards (WCA) 2004.
